DELTARUNE is available on:

Chapters 1 and 2 are also free to play on itch.io in addition to Steam. Every version has the same content — Toby Fox confirmed there is “no meaningful difference in content amount, dialogue, setting, music” between platforms.

Steam & PC

The Steam version (app 1671210) is where the game sees its biggest player counts and review activity, and it’s recommended as the control scheme baseline outside the Switch 2’s special room. Steam Deck players are supported — the game is listed among playable Steam Deck titles.

Nintendo Switch & Switch 2

DELTARUNE was a launch title for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. The Switch 2 version has a unique special room that uses the mouse controls of both controllers at once. Switch 1 owners can import their demo save data, and the game is cross-buy between Switch 1 and Switch 2.

PlayStation 4 & 5

Both PlayStation versions are supported, with trophies on PS5 and PS4 (including a challenging one Toby Fox has jokingly called “one of the worst ideas I’ve ever had”). Save data imports from the PS4 demo, and cross-buy applies between PS4 and PS5.

Save transfers

All console versions can import save files from their free Chapters 1 & 2 demo. Between platforms, progress is tied to your Completion FILEs. Check the beginner guide for how saving works across chapters.
