Chapters 1 and 2 are free to play on PC, Mac, Switch, PS4 and PS5 — the game still ships a free Chapters 1 & 2 demo on every platform, including Steam (separate demo app 1690940) and itch.io. It’s the easiest way to try DELTARUNE before paying anything.

The paid DELTARUNE is $24.99 on Steam, with console prices equivalent. It includes Chapters 1–5, and Toby Fox has said the price “represents the exact price of four Chapters!” — meaning you pay for what’s out, not for promises.
Future chapters are free
Once you own the game, future chapters arrive as free updates. Chapter 5 shipped this way on June 24, 2026, and Chapter 6 (targeting 2027) will too. “You only have to buy the game once,” Fox said.
Soundtrack & bundles
The DELTARUNE Soundtrack DLC is $14.99 on Steam and holds the Chapter 1, 2 and 3+4 albums, with Chapter 5 added for free as an update. A Game + Soundtrack bundle is available at $35.98 (10% off). See the soundtrack page for where else the music is sold.
